We like a challenge
Every year we like to put our teams to the test with a charity challenge. So far, we’ve tackled:

2015: Three Peaks Challenge: a 24-hour trek, tackling Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scarfell Pike in the Lake District and Snowdon in Wales.
2016: The Sandstone Trail: a 34-mile, 12-hour trek across Cheshire.
2017: The 8 Peaks: taking on 8 of the highest peaks in the Lake District.
2018: Cheshire Ring Challenge. A 150km walk, run, cycle, sail (and swim) through the Cheshire countryside.
2019: A 20 mile walk through Cheshire taking in 3 of our major sites.
2023: The Edale Skyline Challenge. A 24 mile walk through the Peak District in torrential rain.
Dedicating our time…
We’re a talk the talk and walk the walk kind of place here. We give every single one of our employees a day on us every year that they can use to volunteer for a cause close to their hearts.
From Northwich to the big screen…

Here at TCE we’re no strangers to a TV set. We’ve filmed all sorts on site, from Inside the Factory to a prime-time drama series. Our latest project even allowed us to sponsor St Luke’s Twilight Walk event, raising an amazing £62,000 for those who need it most.
Our charity partner

When we decided to support St Luke’s as our “Charity of the Year” many years ago now, we were struck by just how many of our people came forward to tell us about their personal experiences of the hospice. We didn’t need St Luke’s to tell us how amazing their work is – our own people came forward to share their stories of how the hospice as helped so many of them and their families during difficult times.
Our relationship with St Luke’s has grown over the years, and we are very proud to know many of the St Luke’s team personally, and to support their fantastic work. We have done lots of team challenges for and with St Luke’s, including the National Three Peaks, the Sandstone Trail, the Cheshire Ring and of course their Twilight Walk Delamere. Our partnership means a lot to us here at TCE.
