Sodium Bicarbonate

Sodium bicarbonate has a wide range of uses, from being a vital ingredient in life-saving haemodialysis to being utilised in food manufacturing and flue gas treatment processes.

Applications

We produce a range of grades of sodium bicarbonate, which have different physical and chemical properties that have been developed for use in a wide range of applications, including pharmaceutical, food and many others.

  • Poultry and dairy feed

Strengthens eggshells, counters acidity, and maintains feed pH at optimum levels.

  • Flue gas treatment

Technical grade sodium bicarbonate is used to neutralise acidic gases in industrial emissions to reduce environmental pollution.

  • Flue gas treatment

More efficient and cost effective alternative to reducing pollutants than alkaline reagents.

  • Pharmaceuticals

Available in coarse, extra fine, medium, and ultra coarse grades for various applications.

  • Dialysis treatment

Available in coarse, medium, and ultra coarse grades for haemodialysis.

  • Dust explosion suppressant

Enhances flow properties in food manufacturing applications, along with food grade silica.

  • EP/USP Grades

A pharmaceutical grade sodium bicarbonate available in coarse, extra fine, medium and ultra coarse.

  • Haemodialysis

A pharmaceutical-grade sodium bicarbonate used in dialysis treatment, available in coarse, medium, and ultra-coarse grades.

  • Dessikarb®

Dessikarb® is a food-safe powder made from sodium bicarbonate and silica, designed to prevent dust explosions and improve flow properties.

  • Food Grades

Meeting the chemical food codex standards for diverse food industry applications.

  • Alkakarb®

Alkakarb® is an animal feed-grade Sodium Bicarbonate used to prepare nutrition mixes for poultry, livestock & aqua produce.
