Tata Swach wins accolades at Pitch Marketing Summit 2010

Mumbai: At an evening that saw a flurry of brands and marketing gurus, Pitch, the leading marketing monthly of the exchange4media Group, honoured top marketers of India at Pitch India's Top 50 Marketers Awards 2010, on October 29, 2010, at New Delhi.

Tata Swach was honoured with the marketing award in the 'bottom of the pyramid' category. Speaking about the recognition, Ashvini Hiren, COO, consumer products business, Tata Chemicals, said, "Offering value products to consumers has been our constant endeavour. Our mission is to enable the masses to drink safe water. We are really encouraged by this appreciation for our efforts."

The brands that emerged as leaders included Tata DOCOMO in 'value for money', and Tata Magic and Tata Swach in 'bottom of the pyramid'.

The winners were decided over a three-step process including editorial shortlisting by the exchange4media and Pitch editorial team, community polls on exchange4media.com and scrutiny by marketing gurus — Prafulla Y Agnihotri, professor, IIM-Kolkata, and co-author with Philip Kotler and Gary Armstrong of Principles of Marketing: A South Asian Perspective; Shripad Nadkarni, founder director, Market Gate Consulting; Anand Halve, co-founder, Chlorophyll, and RV Rajan, chairman, Anugrah Madison.
