S. Padmanabhan

S. Padmanabhan

Chairman (Non-Executive, Non-Independent Director)

Mr. S. Padmanabhan was appointed as a non-Executive Director of Tata Chemicals Limited in December 2016 and Chairman of the Board of Tata Chemicals with effect from May 30, 2025.

His career in the Tata group of companies began with Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) in 1982 and spans over 40 years. During his 26-year stint in TCS, he held roles such as Executive Director of Human Resources, Head of Application Development and Maintenance, Head of Airlines Practice, Country Manager, TCS Switzerland and position of Executive Director.

Mr. Padmanabhan was also the Executive Director-Operations of Tata Power from February 6, 2008 to June 30, 2014 and was responsible for the profitable and sustainable operations of all thermal and hydro generation plants across India and transmission and distribution systems in Mumbai. He was also on the boards of the operating subsidiaries of the company.

He was also the Group Chief Human Resources Officer at Tata Sons. He also headed the Tata Business Excellence Group (TBExG) and the Tata Group Ethics function. Heading the TBExG, he was responsible for enabling the Business Excellence journey of Tata companies globally. This role was integral to the Group’s initiatives in enhancing the performance of Tata companies through diagnostics, benchmarking and sharing of best practices. Under his leadership, TBExG helped companies leverage data and process excellence.

Mr. Padmanabhan has a distinguished academic record in the technical and management domain from reputable institutions. He is a Glaxo Marketing Scholar Medallist, a Distinguished Alumnus from IIM Bangalore, and a Gold Medallist and a Distinguished Alumnus from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. He has completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School. He is also a life member of CSI.

Currently, Mr. Padmanabhan is also the Chairman of the Board of Rallis India Limited and also a Director on the Board of the Associated Building Company Limited, TCE Group Limited and Tata Chemicals North America Inc.
Padmini Khare Kaicker

Padmini Khare Kaicker

Non-Executive, Independent Director

Padmini Khare Kaicker was appointed as a Director on the Board of Tata Chemicals Limited from April 1, 2018.

She is the Managing Partner of B. K. Khare & Co., one of the leading and reputed Indian Accounting Firms practicing in the profession for more than six decades.

She joined the accountancy profession in 1990 after completing her B.Sc. in Mathematics. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, a Certified Public Accountant (USA) and a Diploma holder in Business Finance from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India. She has over 30 years of experience serving large and midsized clients in several sectors in areas of audit, taxation, corporate finance, risk management and corporate governance. She also has expertise in the area of Corporate Advisory, M&A and restructuring activities.

She serves on the boards of Rallis India Limited, Kotak Mahindra Investments Limited, J B Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Limited, Bosch Limited, Franklin Templeton Asset Management (IFSC) Private Limited, National Payments Corporation of India, and a trustee on various trusts.
Dr. C.V. Natraj

Dr. C.V. Natraj

Dr. C.V. Natraj was appointed as a Director on the Board of Tata Chemicals Limited with effect from August 8, 2019.

He has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He also has post-doctoral research experience in biochemistry from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He has more than 30 years of experience in research. He headed the research function as Director on the Board of Hindustan Lever Limited and later went on to lead the Corporate Research function for Unilever as Senior Vice-President. He is also the Technical Advisor to the Society of Innovation and Development at the Indian Institute of Science.

Dr. Natraj also serves on the boards of Rallis India Limited, TCE Group Limited and Inzpera Healthsciences Limited.
K.B.S. Anand

K.B.S. Anand

Non-Executive, Independent Director

K.B.S. Anand was appointed as a Director on the Board of Tata Chemicals Limited with effect from October 15, 2019.

He is a Mechanical Engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay having passed out in the year 1977 and then completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata in the year 1979 with a specialisation in Marketing.

Anand joined Asian Paints Limited in the year 1979 and worked in the Sales and Marketing function of the Architectural Coating and Chemical business, Industrial products manufacturing. He was made the head of the Decoratives Business in 2009 and Managing Director & CEO of Asian Paints Limited effective April 1, 2012 and superannuated in 2020.

He also serves on the boards of Borosil Limited, Lupin Limited, UFO Moviez India Limited, Bharat Forge Limited, Galaxy Surfactants Limited, Tata Chemicals Magadi Limited, Tata Chemicals International Pte. Limited and Galaxy Chemicals (Egypt) S.A.E.
Rajiv Dube

Rajiv Dube

Independent Non-Executive Director

Rajiv Dube was appointed as a Director on the Board of Tata Chemicals Limited with effect from September 18, 2020.

Mr. Dube is an Indian industry veteran with over 40 years of multi-sector experience, having served at the highest echelons of two Indian conglomerates - Tata and Aditya Birla.

An engineer and a post-graduate in Business Management, he began his career on the shop floor of Tata Motors and rose to be President of its car business before joining the group board of the Aditya Birla group as an executive director, on which he remained for nearly nine years. He has served on several other Indian and foreign boards in various capacities over 25 years and brings deep insights in corporate governance, management and transformation of businesses as varied as auto, metals, mining, power and renewables, cement, trading, textiles, retail and financial services.

An avid sustainability champion, he was an alternate Council Member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) Geneva and has been active on several industry bodies.

He also serves on the boards of Tata Investment Corporation Limited, Tata International Limited, Simto Investment Company Limited, Tata Chemicals North America, Tata Africa Holding (South Africa) Pte. Ltd, Axium Global Pty Ltd. (Australia), Alluvium International Pty Ltd. (Australia), and Magic Bus India Foundation (Section 8 Company) and on the advisory board of certain institutes.

Modan Saha was appointed as an Additional Director on the Board of Tata Chemicals Limited with effect from May 28, 2025

Mr. Modan Saha is currently leading select Strategic Initiatives at Tata Sons. In his earlier role he was the founding Director and CEO - Financial Services at Tata Digital. Prior to joining Tata Digital, Mr. Saha was the CEO of Tata Strategic Management Group which supports Tata Group companies and Tata Group Chairman’s Office in strategy and transformation initiatives. He is a graduate in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and an MBA from IIM Calcutta.

He comes with extensive experience in the Banking and Financial Services industry where he spent more than 17 years before joining Tata Group. In the financial services sector he worked across companies like Axis Bank, UBS Singapore and ICICI Bank in multiple roles including in Corporate Strategy, Strategic Investments, Fintech marketplaces and Global Private Banking.

Mr. Saha serves on the Board of Tata Business Hub Limited & Ferbine Private Limited.

R. Mukundan, Managing Director & CEO of Tata Chemicals Limited, joined Tata Administrative Service in 1990, after completion of MBA from FMS, Delhi University. He is a distinguished alumnus of IIT, Roorkee, Fellow of Indian Chemical Society and an alumnus of Harvard Business School. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in business administration by XIM University, Bhubaneshwar. With over 30 years' experience at Tata Group, he has held various responsibilities across the Chemical, Automotive and Hospitality sectors of the Tata Group.

Nandakumar S Tirumalai is Chief Financial Officer of Tata Chemicals Limited.

Mr Nandakumar joined the Tata Group in 2012 as Head - Treasury and Investor relations in Tata Power after which he assumed the role of Financial Controller and Chief - Subsidiaries Finance. In 2018, he moved to Titan Company Limited as Vice President - Corporate Finance and subsequently, in 2019, began overseeing the entire finance function including Corporate Finance, business finance and subsidiaries.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Bangalore University in 1991 and became a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India & Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India in 1994.

He has around 28 years post qualification experience in areas of Treasury & Investors relations, financial controllership, financial planning and analysis, business finance, Subsidiaries Management and M&A in diverse industry verticals (FMCG, Agri commodities, financial services, Textiles, Apparel, Infrastructure and Retail) in multi-cultural environments.

Before joining the Tata Group in 2012, Mr Nandakumar started his career as a Management Trainee in 1994 with Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) Limited, after which he spent 12 years in ITC Limited in various roles, Reliance Securities as CFO (2007-2009) and thereafter in Raymond Limited as Director - Treasury, Retail and FMCG.

Rajiv Chandan is a fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and has a masters' degree in commerce and a law degree from the University of Mumbai.

Mr Chandan heads the legal, company secretarial and corporate governance functions at Tata Chemicals. He has 25 plus years of experience in the areas of legal, company secretarial, corporate laws, litigations, corporate governance, compliance, mergers and acquisitions and divestments, including cross-border M&A transactions. His experience is spread across diverse industries, including the paper, automobiles, logistics, cement, chemicals, FMCG and fertiliser sectors.

Before joining Tata Chemicals, he was vice president – legal and company secretary, Lafarge Cement, India.
Rahul Pinjarkar

Rahul Pinjarkar

Chief Human Resources Officer

Rahul Pinjarkar is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Tata Chemicals Ltd.

He has over 23 years of experience handling various aspects of the HR functions. His responsibilities encompass driving a culture of meritocracy, enhancing HR functional delivery, fostering positive industrial and employee relations, and effectively managing the change process.

Mr Pinjarkar joined the Tata Group in June 2018 heading the HR function for Trent Hypermarkets and moved to Tata Chemicals in June 2023. Prior to joining Tata Group, he held HR leadership roles at Philips, Novartis and the Saint-Gobain Group. He brings extensive expertise in creating competitive advantage through human capital and transforming companies into employees’ choices.

Mr Pinjarkar is recognised as an HR and Organisational Development thought leader and is an active member of external forums such as NHRDN, NASSCOM, CII, ICT Academy, World HRD Congress, CLO Summit, Retail Association of India and TRRAIN.

He holds a Masters in Labour Studies from Mumbai University and is also a certified HRD Auditor and MBTI Accreditor.
Subodh Srivastav

Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Tata Chemicals Magadi

Subodh Srivastav is currently the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tata Chemicals Magadi.

Mr Srivastav is an engineer from IIT BHU with business management qualification from FMS Delhi. He has over 29 years of experience in sales, marketing and general management.

Mr Srivastav’s experience spans multinational and Indian companies having joined Tata Chemicals Limited in 2013 in the specialty chemicals business. He was assigned to the Consumer Products Business (CPB) in February 2014 where he handled salt as a category head and had the responsibility for the CPB sales function at the national level. Prior to Tata Chemicals he has worked in organisations such as ICI, Dupont, Pepsi and Idea Cellular Limited.
Dr. Martin Ashcroft

Dr. Martin Ashcroft

Managing Director, Tata Chemicals Europe

Dr. Martin Ashcroft is Managing Director of Tata Chemicals Europe. He was appointed on April 1, 2010, having been the operations director since January 1, 2007.

Holding a chemistry degree from Oxford University and a PhD in inorganic chemistry from Manchester University, he held several technical and operating roles in Brunner Mond between 1994 and 2007 including site director of the company's Netherlands site for two years.

During this time he led two business re-engineering programmes for Brunner Mond.

In January 2011, Martin led the company in completing the successful £93 million acquisition of British Salt and then followed up in April 2011 by heading the re-branding of the enlarged company as Tata Chemicals Europe at the same time as each of the Tata Chemicals overseas entities.

Between 2013 and 2015, he designed and led the fundamental restructuring of the management team and Northwich-based operations which included the acquisition and investment in the 400MW combined heat and power (CHP) plant, previously owned by EON.

He is an executive board member of Tata Chemicals Europe Holdings and several subsidiary companies. He is a member of the Tata Global Chemicals Board (GCB) where he leads on Tata Chemicals' interests in Europe.

He is a member of the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) board and board member of the Chemical Industries Association.

In 2016, he was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).

He is qualified to Grade 8 standard on violin, piano and organ, and plays regularly at choral services and occasional recitals.
John Mulhall

John Mulhall was appointed as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Tata Chemicals North America Inc. on May 1, 2021.

Prior to this appointment he was Chief Financial Officer of Tata Chemicals Limited from October 2015.

Mulhall joined Tata Chemicals in 2007 as the European Finance Director of their recently acquired subsidiary, Brunner Mond (UK), followed by positions in Tata Chemicals North America Inc., (VP and CFO) and Tata Chemicals International Pte in Singapore (CFO) before relocating to Mumbai in 2015.

He is a graduate of the University of Strathclyde and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland

Dr. Gyanendra Shukla was appointed on the Board of Rallis as Managing Director and CEO on April 1, 2024.

Dr Gyanendra Shukla has completed his MBA in General Management from S. P. Jain Institute of Management & Research; Ph.D. in Botany (Researched on quantitative genetics) from Kanpur University; bachelor’s degree in agriculture and animal husbandry & master’s in Agronomy from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology.

Dr Gyanendra Shukla is a senior Agri professional with more than 35 years of leadership experience in Crop Protection & Seed Sector in India, Asia-pacific & Africa region. He has managed various senior functional & general management roles in Commercial, Sales, Corporate Affairs, Technology Development & Regulatory Affairs function.
