Tata Chemicals wins prestigious sustainability awards at the CII–ITC Sustainability Awards 2010

Mumbai: Tata Chemicals won the prestigious sustainability awards at the CII–ITC Sustainability Awards 2010. The awards were announced during the presentation ceremony as part of the 5th Sustainability Summit: Asia 2010 on November 30, 2010, at New Delhi in the presence of dignitaries from government and industry.

The TCL Babrala plant won the Sustainability Prize for independent units the second time in a row and the TCL Mithapur plant won the 'Certificate of commendation for strong commitment’ for independent units.

Speaking on the achievement, R Mukundan, managing director, TCL, said, “I am happy that all our businesses are focused on sustainable manufacturing and the efforts getting recognised by CII. I am sure these prestigious awards and recognitions will help us calibrate our approach to raise the bar and meeting the emerging stakeholder expectations on sustainability strategy and performance.”
