Tata Chemicals wins 'ICC Aditya Birla Award for Best Responsible Care Committed Company and ICC Award for Social Responsibility'

Tata Chemicals Limited won in two categories at the ICC Awards 2005-2006 held at Hotel Ramada Plaza, Palm Grove, Mumbai. TCL won the 'ICC Aditya Birla Best Responsible Care Committed Company award' and the 'ICC award for Social Responsibility'. These awards were announced by the Indian Chemicals Council, Mumbai.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr Homi Khusrokhan, Managing Director, TCL said, "Concern and care for stakeholders, is central to value systems at Tata Chemicals. The Company has always prided itself on its relationship with the communities that it serves. This is stated in our CSR policy which translates in practice into various developmental intiatives that we undertake at all our sites for our employees, the environment and the communities around our plants. Additionally, volunteerism is strongly encouraged and recognised throughout the organisation. It is the commitment of our employees that makes the difference and this award is really recognition of the significant contributions made to CSR by our people.
