Tata Chemicals wins Business Leader of the Year 2011 – Environment award announced by Chemtech Foundation

Mumbai: Murali Sastry, chief scientific officer, Tata Chemicals, was conferred the prestigious award of Business Leader of the Year 2011 – Environment, for Tata Swach by Chemtech Foundation.

The Chemtech Foundation announced the leadership and excellence awards as part of the silver jubilee celebration of Chemtech World Expo; the function was held on February 24, 2011, at Mumbai.

Speaking on the achievement, Mr Sastry said, “I am pleased to receive the award on behalf of Tata Swach and TCL. The idea of contributing to the masses is a real source of energy at TCL Innovation Centre. We work constantly in contributing to the mission of TCL — Serving society through science — and such accolades keep us motivated in our endeavour.”
