Moradabad: Tata Chemicals, the leading crop nutrition and agri solution manufacturer and marketer, announced the launch of crop protection herbicide, TKS PYRI, in the market. The product launch and unveiling was held at Hotel Holiday Regency in Moradabad on June 1, 2012. TKS PYRI is a new addition to the Tata Kisan Sansar crop protection family developed to address the increasing demand of post-emergent paddy herbicides.
Speaking at the launch, RS Chhabra, VP, sales and marketing, CNAB, said, “Being a market leader in the farm essentials space, Tata Chemicals has always endeavoured to provide safe and quality agri products to the farmers, and TKS PYRI is a significant step in this direction. TKS PYRI addresses the longstanding farmer need for post-emergent herbicide for paddy crop. Based on Japanese technology, it provides excellent control for most of the weeds including grasses, sedges and broad leaf which are major areas of concern to the farmers. We believe that the adoption of TKS PYRI will improve the yields by reducing losses through weeds and enhance farm incomes on a sustainable basis.”
TKS PYRI is being launched through the dealer, retailer and TKS (exclusive franchisee outlets of Tata Chemicals) network in UP, Punjab and Haryana in the first phase in SKU sizes ranging from 10ml to 200ml. To educate and sensitise farmers about safe and proper application of TKS PYRI on field, TCL will continuously counsel and conduct a series of farmer engagement initiatives on the field as well as at point of sale.
