Lucknow: Tata Chemicals launched Paras Farmoola Sugarcane, customised to the soil and crop needs of western UP. Paras Farmoola Sugarcane is a knowledge-based solution for basal application and comprises macro and micro nutrients (N, P, K, S, and Zn). Paras Farmoola is the first customised fertiliser to be launched in the country.

It aims at providing convenience to farmers in easy application as it does away with the mixing of different nutrients and minerals in different forms during sowing. The granulated form helps in uniform dispersion of nutrients in the fields. It will help to maintain soil health, promote balanced crop nutrition, and boost productivity and quality of crops.

This customised fertiliser is designed to contain nutrients (both macro and micro) arrived at by tracking and monitoring the soil, crop and water samples against the maximum yield possible.

Key benefits of Paras Farmoola Sugarcane:
  • 16-per-cent increase in crop productivity (based on trials conducted by TCL).
  • Crop productivity with a better benefit to cost ratio of 1:4.
  • Better length and thickness of sugarcane.
  • More number of tillers.
  • Good for soil health.
  • Granulated for uniform distribution.
  • Easy to use and apply.
Paras Farmoola Sugarcane is priced at Rs610 per bag for a 50kg bag and its recommended basal dosage is of four bags per acre. For top dressing, existing practices need to be continued. It has been designed and customised for the following 25 districts in UP — Agra, Bareilly, Bijnore, Badayun, Aligarh, US Nagar, Bulandshahar, Moradabad, Baghpat, Rampur, Etah, Pilibhit, Kashiram Nagar, Shahjahanpur, Farukhabad, Lakhimpur Kheri, Mainpuri, Gautam Budh Nagar, Ferozabad, Jyotibha Phule Nagar, Ghaziabad, Hathras, Mathura, Meerut and Muzzafarnagar.
