Tata Chemicals awarded 5-star rating by British Safety Council - UK

The British Safety Council (BSC - UK) has submitted a detailed report confirming that Tata Chemicals Limited - Mithapur Plant, has attained an overall score of 4253 out of total 4600 (92.46 per cent) thereby achieving a 5-star rating (Grading of 92 - 100 per cent) which is a world-class benchmark standard.

BSC conducted the audit at Tata Chemicals, Mithapur, in the month of May 2004 using the British Safety Council's International Five Star Audit Numerical Safety Grading System. The 5-star audit concentrates on five sections, viz: safety organisation, management control system, fire control systems, measurement and control systems and workplace implementation.
