Tata Chemicals Limited bags Gold in Reader’s Digest Pegasus CSR awards

Tata Chemicals Limited has been awarded GOLD in the much-coveted Reader’s Digest Pegasus CSR award 2008. The Pegasus Corporate Social Responsibility Awards 2008 held on 21st January 2009 at The Park, New Delhi identified and saluted companies in a glittering Awards ceremony that exemplified the highest social values as well as those of Reader’s Digest. The Chief Guest for the evening was Mr Arun Jaitley, MP, Rajya Sabha.

Present at the awards, Mr Kapil Mehan, Executive Director, Tata Chemicals Limited said, “We have a very dedicated team and well defined processes for our sustainability initiatives. The Pegasus Corporate Social Responsibility Awards has been initiated by Reader’s Digest to recognise and felicitate corporate leadership for social responsibility and sustainable development initiatives. The Award identifies best practices and innovations of Indian corporates in fulfilling their responsibilities towards diverse stakeholders. In this process Reader’s Digest also aims to sensitize corporates to their responsibilities as citizens of a developing world.
