Tata Chemicals, Babrala, bags NSCI safety award for 2006

In the recently announced NSCI Safety Awards 2006, Tata Chemicals, Babrala, has been ranked number one and would be awarded the prestigious 'Sarva Shreshtha Suraksha Puraskar' in the manufacturing sector for the year 2006.

The Sarva Shreshtha Suaksha Puraskar (golden trophy and certificate) is given to only one company after a rigorous application review by the award committee, a presentation made before the award committee and a site visit by NSCI auditors.

Commenting on the award, Homi Khusrokhan, managing director, TCL, said, "The winners' list is the testimony of Babrala's standing in the industry. It's great to see Babrala's name at the top, surpassing many fertilizer, chemical, power and petrochemicals plants across India. This is indeed a proud moment for all of us at TCL. Our organisation has always demonstrated its commitment towards safety, health and environment. This award reinforces our belief in our 'SHE' endeavours and we are truly committed to this cause."
