Prasad R Menon is new managing director of Tata Chemicals Limited

Tata Chemicals Limited today announced the appointment of Prasad R Menon as managing director of the company. Mr Menon is currently technical director and the chief of the agriculture business sector in the Nagarjuna Group.

Mr Menon, 54, is a chemical engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He was with ICI for 20 years, initially as a plant manager and then as works operations manager. During this period he worked in several product groups, such as agro-chemicals, paints and chemicals.

At Nagarjuna Fertilisers and Chemicals, Mr Menon was involved in the construction, commissioning and stabilisation of the company's urea fertiliser project in Kakinada.
