Tata Chemicals, today, announced that Tata Swach would be available for sale online through its website www.tataswach.com. The “Buy Online” feature would be a set of simple steps culminating in the consumer making online payment through their credit card or internet banking account. Within a maximum of 10 days, the company promises to deliver the Tata Swach unit at the customer’s doorstep at no extra cost (free shipping anywhere in India). In addition, replacement bulbs would be available in “Buy Online” and would thus allow existing customers an alternative to visiting the retailer for purchasing the replacement bulb. Further, the company believes this “Buy Online” would be a convenient option to “gift” Tata Swach since it allows customers to choose their (separate) delivery address against each order.
Commenting on this initiative, Sabaleel Nandy, head, water purifier business, Tata Chemicals, said, “Since the launch of Tata Swach in December 2009, our customers have been requesting us to make Tata Swach available for sale online. We are happy to finally address that request and offer a comfortable and easy way to purchase and gift our purifiers and replacement bulbs.
