Nagpur, Pune: Tata I-Shakti brand of consumer products extends its portfolio with the market launch of its brand of gram flour — Tata I-Shakti Besan (chana flour) — in Nagpur and Pune today.
Tata I-Shakti Besan is now available in 500g SKUs across retail stores in Nagpur and Pune. This is processed from 100 percent chana dal ensuring food quality and food safety with Agmark grade 1 certification.

Speaking on the launch of Tata I-Shakti Besan, Ashvini Hiran, COO, consumer products business at Tata Chemicals, said, "Majority of Maharashtrian food recipes like vada, kothambir vadi, zunka bakhri, pithala are besan-based delicacies relished by Nagpurians and Puneites. With the launch of Tata I-Shakti Besan, Tata Chemicals has entered into the second phase of its consumer product category expansion with an objective to provide quality staples for the Indian homemaker. Chana dal is an excellent source of protein, fibre, complex carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. Tata, under its I-Shakti brand, already has premium-quality unpolished pulses which are currently available in over 24,000 retail outlets across 21 states, and these retail stores will be leveraged in order to make the product available to the consumers across India.
