Tata Chemicals conferred with the prestigious Council for Fair Business Practices Award 2013

The global chemical major was recognised for its fair business practices

Mumbai: Tata Chemicals, part of the over $100-billion Tata group, was felicitated with the Uchit Vyavahar Puraskar in the 'manufacturing enterprise', 'large' category, by the Council for Fair Business Practices (CFBP) at a formal function held on March 13, 2014.

Tata Chemicals received a trophy and a certificate in recognition of its exceptional and fair business operations. The chief guest, Aditya Puri, managing director, HDFC Bank, felicitated Tata Chemicals with the Uchit Vyavahar Puraskar.

Expressing pleasure on the achievement, R Mukundan, managing director, Tata Chemicals, said, "Tata Chemicals conducts business in a manner which embraces fairness, care and trust as core principles. Tata Chemicals was awarded after rigorous rounds of evaluation by a panel of judges. The panel assessed the performance of the company on several parameters such as the supply chain system, environment protection, corporate social responsibility, compliance with laws and adherence to the Code of Conduct of the CFBP. Applications are invited from large enterprises (turnover above Rs1,000 crore) and SMEs (turnover between Rs50 and 1,000 crore) in the respective categories.
