Saving the Shompole Eco-system
Tata Chemicals Magadi recently joined the members of the Shompole Group Ranch in Magadi Division in a concerted effort to stop a wild bush fire that had threatened to destroy the entire Shompole Wildlife Conservancy and the livelihood of its residents.
The company firefighters and fire engines were rapidly deployed to put out the raging bush fire that had lasted over three days. The company's participation was triggered by a distress call for help to stop the fire by the Magadi Ward MCA Hon. Joseph Masiaya who is also the Deputy Speaker of the Kajiado County Assembly and other area leaders including the chiefs and the group ranch officials.

TCML have also assisted to put off other bush fires including one at Olkiramatian that started at Lenkobei and another one at Kora forest in Oldonyo Nyokie in the month of July and August 2020
