“TCSRD's programmes have a strong emphasis on community empowerment and entrepreneurship development. Most businesses struggle to become self-reliant due to lack of funds. We hope to address this issue and encourage women to succeed in their entrepreneurial endeavours through the Dwarkesh Women Federation. We are thankful to our esteemed guests for their presence at the event which boosted the confidence and spirit of women in the community" said Mr. Nanda, Chief of HR & CSR at Tata Chemicals Ltd.

Around 1800 rural women from 43 villages participated in the Women's Day festivities organized by TCSRD, which included a fashion show, role play, dancing, and an exhibition showcasing a variety of talents and skills, including handicrafts, cutlery, games, and more.

Through its Rural Entrepreneurship Development Programme (REDP), TCSRD provides comprehensive training to the community, focusing on food processing techniques, technical and mechanical equipment operation instruction, as well as cleanliness and safety measures. It aims to provide opportunities and promote an inclusive ecosystem. As a result of these trainings, last year TCSRD successfully established Dwarkesh Food Federation, which is being administered by ten SHG women from the Okhamandal district.
