Prime Minister’s Shram Awards for three Tata Chemicals employees

The Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, honoured three employees from Tata Chemicals, Mithapur, at the Prime Minister’s Shram Awards for the years 2004, 2005 and 2006, at a function held on September 15, 2010 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
 
The awardees received their awards from the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, in the presence of the minister of labour and employment, Mallikarjun Kharge, and the minister of state for labour and employment, Harish Rawat.
 
The names of the awardees in the order of year of nomination are as follows:

Shram Vir 2006 Ashok Gadhiya, Mithapur A cash award of Rs60,000 and a ‘Sanad’

The Prime Minister’s Shram Awards recognise the contribution of workmen who have a distinguished record of performance, devotion to duty of a high order, specific contribution in the field of productivity, proven innovative abilities, presence of mind and exceptional courage. It is also for workmen who have made the supreme sacrifice of laying down their lives in the conscientious discharge of their duties.
