Tata Chemicals bags 4 FAI Awards

Tata Chemicals Limited has bagged four awards from the Fertiliser
Association of India (FAI) in the award ceremony held recently
at Delhi. TCL Haldia won the "Best Production
Performance Award Single Super Phosphate Plant"
and "Environment Protection Award Single Super
Phosphate (SSP)", while TCL Babrala won the "Excellence
in Safety and the Best Technical Innovation Award".
Said Mr. Kapil Mehan, COO, Fertiliser Business, "Public
acknowledgement in the form of FAI awards is a motivation
for our teams to carry on our journey towards excellence to
emerge as a global benchmark manufacturing site at our Babrala
fertiliser complex."
This is the third time that the Haldia plant has been awarded
for its SSP operations. Said Mr. V Shankar, COO, Phosphates
Business, "Receiving the FAI award for the best overall
performance of the SSP plant three times in a row is an emphatic
endorsement of the superior operating efficiencies at Haldia.
What is very encouraging and rewarding is the acknowledgement
in environment protection a focus area for the company."
The Fertiliser Association of India (FAI) organises an annual
seminar every year in the month of December where stalwarts
from the Indian fertiliser industry as well as foreign delegates
from industry participate. The award ceremony was held during
the FAI seminar, which commenced on December 8, 2004, and
was inaugurated by the Minister for the Department of Fertiliser
and Chemicals, Government of India.

Fertiliser Association of India (FAI) is a non-profit, non-trading
