Overview
Tata Chemicals Magadi (TCM) is Africa's largest producer of soda ash, which is a vital raw material for several industries and is used in the production of several essential everyday items such as glass and detergent. Soda ash is a major export item for Kenya. TCM also produces common salt at its Lake Magadi facility.
Magadi soda ash is principally utilised in the glass industry, as it is eminently suitable for the manufacture of bottles, jars, figured glass as well as flat glass.
