Tata Chemicals Magadi (TCM) believes in providing its customers with low cost quality products and excellent service.

TCM's products are key raw materials for its customers who use them to produce many essential everyday items. These products make a contribution to many areas of our daily life for example in glass manufacture, detergent manufacture, leather tanning and paper manufacture.
The TCM facility has been certified for the ISO 9001:2000 quality management standard. Our aim is to constantly improve the standards of our service and quality to achieve mutual business benefits that accrue from understanding, anticipating and responding to individual customer needs.

Clear as glass:
Magadi soda ash is eminently suitable for the glass industry (see properties), as the equivalent sodium oxide content represents an important quality parameter in glass production. Notwithstanding impurity variations within Magadi soda ash, the sodium oxide content, based on contribution of all sodium compounds present, shows remarkable consistency at 58.3 + 0.2 per cent (equivalent to 99.6 + 0.3 per cent W/W sodium carbonate).
Salt of the earth:
The Lake Magadi brines contain a high percentage of sodium chloride or common salt, along with sodium carbonates. This salt is harvested by using solar evaporation and salt making ponds. It is then processed into various grades of sodium chloride for different salt markets. |
