Come and say ‘¡Hola’ to us at CPhI Barcelona
This week sees the return of CPhI Worldwide in Barcelona, an event which represents ingredients businesses on the international stage. CPhI - the Convention on Pharmaceutical Ingredients - is the world's leading pharmaceutical exhibition attended by more than 36,000 professionals of the Pharma industry from all over the world.
- This year, Tata Chemicals Europe will be represented by a five-strong team consisting of:

We had a chat with Cristina Velasco before she jetted off to Barcelona with the rest of the team.
She said: "The worldwide CPhI events, like this one, are really big and give you an idea of the huge potential in this industry. It brings together all the key players in everything to do with Pharmaceuticals. It gives you the chance to see what is happening in the market, new ideas, and new requirements.
"It is the third CPhI in which Tata Chemicals Europe are participating with our own stand, following the success of last year's CPhI in Madrid. It is an opportunity to find new leads that over time convert into new business, and to meet with our distributors, partners and customers from all around the world face-to-face that otherwise we don't have the opportunity to meet on a regular basis - and all of this in one same place."
Cristina added: "Since moving to our standalone Sodium Bicarbonate business and increasing our capacity two years ago, we have been keen to increase our customer base and show that we are a reliable supplier and one of the main manufacturers of Sodium Bicarbonate in the world. Simply, we'd like to get as many leads as possible and meet current and potential customers face to face.
"We are a leading manufacturer of Sodium Bicarbonate for the Pharmaceutical sector with a reliable supply and quality and ready to increase our market share in this sector all around the world, and this event is a chance to showcase ourselves."
Following the event in Barcelona, the next CPhI convention will be held in India in November. Cristina, who deals with SB sales for the Rest of World market, said: "India is a rapidly growing market and CPhI is attracting many players and distributors from the Pharmaceutical industry in many other parts of the world."
