Tata
Chemicals has posted a net profit of Rs 65 crore
for the quarter ended June 30, an increase of
42 per cent from Rs 46 crore in the corresponding
quarter of the previous year.
Income from operations for
the quarter stood at Rs 510 crore, marginally
up by 1.96 per cent from the corresponding quarter
in the previous year.
As this was the first
complete quarter wherein it did not use naphtha
as a fuel to make urea, there was no price escalation
component in the income from operations, a media
release said.
