The
sales of Tata Salt, an offering of Tata Chemicals
Ltd, is expected to double in the next three or
four years, from the current level of Rs 160 crore,
said Tata Chemicals vice president (sales and
marketing) Kapil Mehan.
"We
plan to increase the reach of our product. We
are also looking at exports to south and west
Asian countries in the near future," said
Mr Mehan at a press conference held here on Tuesday.
Meanwhile,
the company will also decide on the future course
of action for its Samundar brand which is being
test-marketed in five locations in Tamil Nadu.
It is priced at Rs 5 per kg as against Rs 7.50
per kg for Tata Salt. It is considered an entry
level product.
